Celebrating Children’s Work in Religious Education
At Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Primary School, our Religious Education curriculum provides every child with opportunities to explore, understand, and live out their faith in meaningful ways. The children’s work in R.E. reflects their spiritual curiosity, deep thinking, and growing relationship with God.
Through scripture study, reflection, art, drama, writing, and discussion, pupils are encouraged to make connections between their faith and everyday life. Their work demonstrates a developing understanding of the teachings of Jesus, the sacraments, and the mission of the Church, while showing how Gospel values can be lived out through kindness, compassion, and service to others.
Children take great pride in their R.E. learning, which is beautifully displayed across classrooms and shared in school liturgies, assemblies, and celebrations. These pieces of work are not only academic achievements but also expressions of faith, showing how each child is growing in knowledge, love, and discipleship.
Our R.E. curriculum helps pupils recognise that they are part of a faith-filled community, called to live as followers of Christ — learning to know Him, love Him, and serve Him in all they do.
We invite you to take a look at examples of the children’s work across different year groups as a celebration of their effort, creativity, and faith journey. Each piece is a testament to how our pupils express their understanding of God’s love and their role as young disciples in the world today.
